Well, here we are with only one week left to go until we are open for business at the Dunedin Stadium Market.
I have been frantically checking over all my plants, weeding out the less than sturdy ones, and helping the strong remain that way. Our less than summery summer weather has had me despairing from time to time as I now have seedlings that are stretching to try and find the sun - I think I may need to compost more than a few of them before the final product can come to the market. However, we still have plenty to offer you in the meantime, and with any luck, once the kids go back to school, we may see a last burst of summer sun with which we can enjoy some good gardening activities.
I was hoping the rain would hold off long enough today to be able to have a dummy run in setting up my tables and designing my display, but alas it is not to be! So instead, I have turned to the internet - maybe some research on plants that enjoy low light and wet feet may be in order?!
If you have time to spend on the internet this rainy Sunday afternoon - might I suggest you jump onto Facebook and 'like' our Goodlife Gardens page, and while you are at it, the folks at the Stadium Market have a page to 'like' as well, and they will keep you informed of all the other lovely things to be found at the market!
Happy gardening and may you too, live your Goodlife!
